Inspection & Testing

System inspection, continuity testing, and documentation for new and existing installations.

Overview

Every connection in the path, verified

A lightning protection system only works if every connection in the path is intact. GroundStrike inspects and tests existing systems — new and legacy — to verify continuity, grounding performance, and physical condition, and documents the results for ownership, insurance, and code records.

Typical Applications
  • Routine/periodic inspection of existing lightning protection systems
  • Post-installation acceptance testing for new systems
  • Pre-purchase or insurance-driven property inspections
  • Systems with visible damage, roofing work history, or unknown maintenance history
Process & Scope
  • Visual inspection of air terminals, conductors, and connection hardware
  • Continuity and ground resistance testing
  • Identification of corrosion, disconnection, or roofing-related damage
  • Written inspection report with findings and recommended corrective work
Standards & Documentation

Inspection practices reference NFPA 780 guidance.
